MONDO was an experimental arts, youth engagement initiative of the Penrith Council, Westfield and The Joan Theatre in response to teenagers that were gathering in a park area near the Westfield Shopping Mall and The Joan Theatre. Every Thursday night, different activities were organised to engage the youth with the aim to enhance safety while minimising anti-social behaviour. The area is known as ‘Mondo Green Space’ – a key civic site in the Penrith City Centre. Danielle was an artistic curator and facilitator of the project.
